Total E&P Indonesie Received Best Content Award at the 39th IPA Convention and Exhibition 2015
The most anticipated event for oil & gas industry in Indonesia, the 39th IPA Convention & Exhibition has been successfully held on May 20-22, 2015 with the theme of “Working Together to Accelerate Solutions in Facing Indonesia’s Energy Crisis.” The annual event that took place at the Jakarta Convention Center, still considered as one of the most important in the Asia region, which effectively gathered 255 companies participating as exhibitors in 271 booths, 2,742 convention delegates from 24 countries, and more than 24,000 visitors throughout the three-day exhibition.
Officially opened by Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs, Indroyono Soesilo, who was representing The President of Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the opening ceremony was also attended by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said, General Directorate IGN Wiratmadja, Head of Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Actvities (SKK Migas) Amien Sunaryadi, Head of BKPM Franky Sibarani and Vice Chairman of Commission VII Satya W Yudha. In his speech, Mr. Susilo described the new oil and gas reserves discovered as an important point as mandated by the President Joko Widodo. This relates to oil and gas production target that has not been achieved in the last five years. "The Oil and gas sectors are key drivers of State revenues, totaling approximately 18% of the State’s budget. To that end, the priority of developing energy such as oil, coal, and renewable energy is the focus of the current government," said Indroyono.
Mr. Soesilo then started his walkthrough of the expo area by visiting Total E&P Indonesie’s (TEPI’s) booth, where he observed the highlight presentation delivered by Vice President of Human Resources, Communication, and General Services, Arividya Noviyanto.
At this year’s exhibition, TEPI upheld the Operational Excellence and Contribution to the Nation theme, which governed the entire message and program at the booth. During the three-day fair, TEPI presented insightful programs and activities that captured the visitors’ attention. There were presentations covering the CSR Program, the North West Tunu 3D Seismic Survey: Technical and Societal Point Of View, the CSR on Education Program, the Environment Program, Scholarship & Training Program, SACI: iCare Program, Alternative Energy (Awango), and Cultural Preservation (Total Indonesia Foundation).
To significantly increase its presence in this expo, TEPI featured an attractive and captivating booth. Located in the Assembly Hall area, the 126-m2 booth displayed LED screens containing corporate information in the form of interesting illustrations on digital posters, and videos that spread out evenly. The visitors were also engaged with our latest group of TEPI Ambassadors, who were there to deliver corporate messages, describe campaigns and values, handle queries and lead presentations, quizzes and an interactive iCare Dance game. Our trademark pantomime quartets did not miss its opportunity to become one of the crowd stoppers and add more fun to the booth.
During the closing ceremony, TEPI received an award for Best Content in the Platinum Category (size >100 m2) and was nominated for the best booth design in the Platinum Category. The Best Content award was given based on the highest score on the Communication Tools used, such as the poster, multimedia, souvenirs, booth program and hospitality. One of our employees, Didiek Bhudy P, also received Best Paper IPA 2015 in the Professional – Geophysics category with his “De-risking drilling targets for future Tunu Shallow Zone Development Phase: Application of litho-seismic classification based on simultaneous inversion”. It was a significant acknowledgement of the team’s impressive collaboration.
